Pragal Rechtsanwälte and the law firm SCHOMERUS will continue their joint “Law & Risk” webinar series in September. In compact online events, the speakers will address practice-relevant issues at the interfaces of employment law, compliance and commercial criminal law.
On 16 September 2026, the fourth webinar will address the topic “Managing director and board liability and delegation in the event of compliance violations – criminal law and employment law dimensions”. The event will focus on the question of what responsibilities management bodies bear in the event of breaches of rules and which organisational measures can effectively limit liability risks.
Key topics of the event The webinar will examine the following key aspects, among others:
- Guarantor duties and responding to warning signs: When action is required in response to reports from whistleblowing systems, audit reports or internal investigations.
- Liability in group and subsidiary structures: The scope of compliance requirements and supervisory duties between parent and subsidiary companies.
- Decision-making responsibility in internal investigations: The duties and risks involved in initiating, managing and evaluating internal investigations.
- Criminal and employment law liability risks: An overview of the key areas of risk and the dangers arising from breaches of supervisory duties under §§ 30, 130 OWiG (Administrative Offences Act).
- Delegation and allocation of responsibilities: Requirements for a legally sound transfer of duties and the limits of duties of selection, instruction and supervision.
- Prevention and safeguards: The protective effect of functioning compliance management systems, the importance of complete documentation and the scope of D&O insurance and indemnities.
